About the University

IIT Gandhinagar was formed on the banks of the Sabarmati River in 2008. It is located in Palaj, Gandhinagar. It is rated as India’s first 5-star green campus as it minimizes the negative impact on the environment.

What is Cognitive Science?

Cognitive science is an interdisciplinary scientific study of the human mind and intelligence along with philosophy, artificial intelligence, psychology, linguistics, and neuroscience.

Cognitive science aims to clarify intelligence principles in the hope of a greater understanding of the mind and learning and intelligent devices.

Eligibility Criteria

Bachelors from any discipline with a minimum of 55% marks or 5.5 CGPA is required
For OBC, SC, ST & PD category, a minimum of 50% or 5.0 CGPA is required

Process of Entrance and Selection

The applications are to be submitted online.
No application fee is being charged
The admission is offered through the process of an entrance exam and an interview.

NOTE: There is no specific syllabus for the written test; the final selection is done based on academic records, aptitude for the specific field, written test, and interview. It is purely based on the candidate’s understanding and knowledge of Cognitive Science.

Other Facilities Provided by the Institute

Financial support:

Eligible candidates admitted to the course will receive a monthly scholarship of Rs. 5,000/- per semester (it might renew according to the student’s progress)

Travel scholarship:

The institute encourages students to represent themselves nationally and internationally in conferences for which the institute proves Rs. 60,000/- to each student.
