WHAT IS M.PHIL? (CIP, Ranchi)

 

Master of Philosophy or MPhil in Clinical Psychology at CIP is a 2-year advanced postgraduate program. Persons are trained to gain detailed theoretical knowledge, clinical experience, and skills required to work as a Clinical Psychologist.

 

MPhil (2 yrs.) in Psychiatric Work is also offered at CIP, Ranchi. 

Both are RCI recognized programs (a person gets the license to practice as a clinical psychologist) and thus offer many job opportunities to the degree holders. 

 

 

CIP (PG) M.PHIL ENTRANCE EXAM

 

EXAM PATTERN

 

The entrance exam will be of 60 minutes and will consist of 100 MCQ type questions. 

SYLLABUS AND ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

 

• The test will have questions about the M.A./M.Sc./MSW standard.
• Masters in Psychology or Masters in Social Work with minimum 55% marks (50% marks for SC, ST and OBC) in the aggregate. (Required)

• The Candidate Selection depends on the total marks acquired in the Entrance Exam, Interview round, and Practical assessment. If two candidates receive the same marks, the selection will depend on the examination marks of the candidate in the MA / MSc, aged student to be selected for the MSW of MPhil.

Selected persons will get a stipend of Rs. 25,000/- per month.
