WHAT IS IBPS?
Institute of Banking Personnel Selection, popularly known as IBPS, is an autonomous body set up by the Reserve bank of India. It conducts personnel recruitment exams for different posts for multiple banks. One such post for psychology students is of a research associate.
JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The job profile is to work as a research associate. The job requires:
- Development of aptitude and achievement tests designed to assess primarily cognitive ability.
- Research in the domain of psychometrics/ psychological measurement.
- Dealing with internal departments for coordination.
- Executing various steps selection projects.
- Providing academic leadership.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA 
The eligibility criteria to apply for this is:
- The applicant should be a postgraduate in Psychology/ Education/ Psychological Measurement/ Psychometrics or Management with an HR specialization with a minimum of 55% marks from a recognized university.
- The applicant’s age should be between 21 to 30 years.
- A candidate has to fill an online application form.

SELECTION PROCEDURE
One has to go through the following selection procedure:
- The candidate has to clear an entrance exam. The structure of the entrance test is as follows:

- After the entrance, a cut-off list is generated.
- If the candidate qualifies the cut-off, they are called for a group discussion (GD).
- After the group discussion, candidates have to appear for an interview.
Once the interview is completed, the candidate receives an update about their selection.
PAY SCALE
Once you are selected, the basic pay will be 44,900 Rs, and the total emolument at the beginning of the scale per month will be 67, 521 Rs approximately.
