Rehabilitation psychology is all about helping those with any disabilities using psychological virtues. To become a rehabilitation psychologist, one is required to acquire an RCI recognized Post Graduate Diploma in Rehabilitation Psychology even if you have a bachelor’s or masters in psychology.

What is a Post Graduate Diploma in Rehabilitation Psychology?
Post Graduate Diploma in Rehabilitation Psychology is a one-year program designed by the Rehabilitation Council of India. The main objective of this program is to prepare trained professionals who can cater to people with disabilities. Anyone who aspires to work in the domain of Rehabilitation Psychology or wishes to work for the disabled should possess this diploma.

Eligibility Criteria
- All graduates and postgraduates in psychology will be eligible for direct enrollment in either of the streams (face to face or distance learning)
- Candidates from other fields can also apply, however, at least one complete paper on psychology and at least one year of work experience in rehabilitation-related departments. Note: such students can only apply for distance learning mode.
Course Duration
In total, the duration of this course is 12 months. It consists of two semesters (six months each). The medium of instruction has to be in English as per RCI guidelines.
Examination and Evaluation Processes
The evaluation process consists of six theory papers of 100 marks each divided evenly in both semesters. It is also supplemented with three practicals of 100 marks each and apart from this, one project is to be done with a value of 100 marks. The total will be out of 1000 marks!
The minimum marks required to pass this course will be 50% separately in each paper, project, and practical.
