Educational Psychology: The people who learn about learning!
Have you ever wondered how psychologists know so much about how we learn? Or even how a person can study what learning is?
Description

Educational psychology, one of the many fields of psychology, uses the theories of human behavior and development to understand the process of learning. Many people falsely believe that learning ends when college ends but this discipline says otherwise! Educational psychologists view learning as a lifelong process. They examine the many factors surrounding the concept such as motivation, retention of information, cognitive problems that affect learning, and so much more.
Application

Every science has two parts - theory and the application of those theories, and educational psychology is no exception. Psychologists in this field apply their research to improve the process of learning and answer key questions that arise in our day to day life.
For instance, these are just a few scenarios where educational psychology plays its part:
- Improving the relationship between teachers and students which leads to learning.
- Mitigating the learning challenges faced by those with cognitive issues such as ADHD and dyslexia.
